The central organizing element in this upscale store
specializing in gifts and house wares is a dramatic
barrel vault.  The focal point of this feature at the back
of the store was usually reserved for a major item or
display.  A space with a lower ceiling, flanking the
vaulted main space provides an appropriate, more
intimate setting for smaller scale merchandise. Side
walls with built-in display system and picture rails
accommodates shelving to display smaller items and
pictures along walls on both sides of the store.

Coves flanking the vault provides ambient lighting which
accentuates the soft violet “sky”.  Accent lighting at the
top of the vault provides spot illumination of displays in
the center of the space.
